The MT SAMPLE RETENTION SYSTEM is especially designed to comply with this important legislation, and enables with its manifold equipment shipboard staff to easily follow the rules in a safe and efficient manner.


The new IMO legislation and MEPC.96 (47) guideline demand that ship operators comply with strict regulations concerning emissions which includes the collection, retention and storage of bunker fuel oil samples.

Contents:

• 1 x strong secure lockable storage chest
• 1 x Martechnic^® fuel oil drip sampler 6" or 8" plus 2 x spanner to mount sampler
• 20 x one litre wide neck sample bottles complete with unique numbered sealings and suitable labels (oil- and tear resistant)
• 5 x cubitainers complete with unique numbered sealings
• 1 x set of pouring tap and handling box for cubitainer
• 2 pair of oil resistant gloves plus safety glasses and 5 x oil absorbing mats
• 1 x ring binder with instructions and log book for delivery notes

As a feature the MT-SRS cubitainer and sampler are each fitted with sealing provision (as shown) to prevent tampering during sampling thus complying with 5.2.5 & 5.3 of MEPC.96(47). This method does NOT restrict the manual valve operation as with some designs on the market. This ensures that the valve is operable throughout the bunkering period enabling adjustment to control the flow to the primary sample as required (see 5.2.4 of MEPC.96 (47)).
