We are excited to announce that Martechnic is a Category Award Winner in the 2023 Ship Technology Excellence Awards 2023 for INNOVATION due to its work in developing the new testing equipment MT COOLANT CHECK for predictive maintenance of engine cooling system.

The patent pending test device MT COOLANT CHECK offers innovative, non-chemical and environmentally friendly approach to regular on-site assessment of the engine coolant quality in the global shipping sector and beyond that is not yet available on the market.

The novel measuring method of the MT COOLANT CHECK applies the electrotechnical apparatus with electrodes in a simulated cooling system to quickly and reliably detect the gradual deterioration in anti-corrosion performance of the engine coolant. Instead of complex physical and/or chemical analyses of individual parameters (pH, chlorides, nitrite additives etc.), the protection capacity of the engine coolant is measured on the metals used in the cooling system.
