Viscosity of lubricating and hydraulic oils should get checked on a regular basis as this particular oil property is significant for efficient operation of engines. The device JUNG CHECK measures viscosity of the oil sample according to the falling ball principle. This quick test method provides precise results allowing effective assessment of the oil quality directly on-site.
 
Viscosity of the oil sample is related the time required for a metal ball to pass through a metal tube of the device. At the same time the built-in thermometer determines the corresponding temperature. Three balls of various sizes are provided to analyze oils with different viscosity ranges.
