Lubricating and fuel oils can get contaminated with water of different nature: fresh or salt. Analyzing the nature of water with the help of the SALT/FRESH WATER CHECK, the probable source of leakage or ingress can be determined promptly on-site.

 

Several drops of the excreted Solution W get applied on the pricked indicator pad. If the pad changes its color after a few minutes, the salt in water is detected. Moreover, a certain experience with this test method allows rough determination of the vol. % of salt contamination.
