• Martechnic Supports Environmental Organizations “WWF” and “Clean River Project” with Christmas Donat

  As a small family-owned business, Martechnic has always been commited to the best possible implementation of Environmental, Social, Governannce (ESG) practices and activities into its internal business development strategy. The company established an environmental management system and is certified to ISO 14001:2015 since 2015. In December 2021 Martechnic joined the IMPA Green Business Bureau Program and regularly sets new goals for improving its environmental performance and impact, e.g. reducing energy consumption, optimizing its waste mangement program and reducing emisisions as well as supporting social communitiy initiatives etc. to become a more efficient and sustainable business.

  In the run-up to Christmas, Martechnic traditionally supports non-profit organizations and projects financially that priorotize environmental sustainability and promote the protection of the environment and biodiversity.

  As in previous years, Martechnic supports the Christmas campaign of the WWF “Donations instead of Gifts 2023”. As a team, we are firmly convinced, that our long-term environmental responsibility is not only restrictied to compliance with the corresponding environmental legislation, but it also implies active contribution to achieve common environmental goals.

   

   

  

   

  This year we also support the outstanding engagement of the Clean River Projects in clearing plastic and other waste from rivers across Germany, thereby improving the overall state of the environment and promoting public awareness of the pollution problem. Martechnic considers local initatives and projects that promote the conscious use of plastic as a recyclable material as crucial to educate the younger generation about plastic pollution and to prevent and to reduce the impact of plastic on the environment.

   

  

• Martechnic Wins the 2023 Ship Technology Excellence Awards in the Category “INNOVATION“

  We are excited to announce that Martechnic is a Category Award Winner in the 2023 Ship Technology Excellence Awards 2023 for INNOVATION due to its work in developing the new testing equipment MT COOLANT CHECK for predictive maintenance of engine cooling system. The patent pending test device MT COOLANT CHECK offers innovative, non-chemical and environmentally friendly approach to regular on-site assessment of the engine coolant quality in the global shipping sector and beyond that is not yet available on the market. The novel measuring method of the MT COOLANT CHECK applies the electrotechnical apparatus with electrodes in a simulated cooling system to quickly and reliably detect the gradual deterioration in anti-corrosion performance of the engine coolant. Instead of complex physical and/or chemical analyses of individual parameters (pH, chlorides, nitrite additives etc.), the protection capacity of the engine coolant is measured on the metals used in the cooling system.

   

  The environmental benefits of the MT COOLANT CHECK include no need for the use of (hazardous) reagents as well as the overall reduction of the environmental impact in engine cooling system predictive maintenance practices.
